GBC Funding Proposal — March & April 2026

Summary

This proposal requests funding for the Grants and Bounties Committee for March and April 2026. It covers two things:

1. GBC Time Commitment Grants — Compensation for committee members performing GBC duties and general DAO tasks
2. Grants & Bounties Pool — Working funds the GBC can deploy toward high-impact Arrow work

Cost Summary

GBC Time Commitment Grants

Time Commitment Grants per AIP-004 guidelines. All members at 4 hrs/week with a 90% USDC / 10% ARROW blend.

Grants & Bounties Pool

Requested: $5,000 USDC + 15,000 ARROW

This pool will fund grants and bounties for high-impact Arrow work that isn't covered by other project budgets. Intended areas include:

• Tokenomics development and documentation
• HearHear bot — update and document the Discord call transcription bot
• Promotional efforts — podcast, social media, community growth, etc.
• Other high-impact work as identified by the committee

How the Pool Works

• The GBC will approve spending from the pool by majority committee vote
• Each grant or bounty funded from the pool will be documented in the dao-gbc repo with scope, amount, recipient, and status
• Unspent funds remain in the GBC multisig and carry forward to the next period
• The GBC will report the remaining balance in future funding requests so the DAO can adjust accordingly

Accountability & Transparency

All GBC activity will be tracked publicly in the dao-gbc repo:

• Proposals — funding requests to the DAO (like this one)
• Grants — approved grants with milestones, payments, and status updates
• Bounties — open bounties with requirements and claims
• Reports — periodic transparency reports on spending and pool balance

Outcome if Vote Passes

Approval of this proposal will trigger the transfer of USDC and ARROW funds from the Arrow treasury to the GBC Multisig.

Outcome if Vote Fails

The GBC will not receive funding for March/April 2026. Grant streams and grants/bounties activity will be paused until a revised proposal is approved.
