This vote is to approve an extension of funding and timeline for Project Quiver.

The current funding expires at the end of 2025. This extension provides the budget to manufacture, beta test, and distribute the Dev-Kit in early 2026.

1. Motivation

The project team has successfully designed, built, and flown three prototypes, demonstrating real-world capabilities. The fourth prototype (the Dev-Kit) has completed the design phase and is shifting to an operational phase to handle manufacturing, sales, logistics, and engineering support.

There is a final validation gap. A short beta testing phase is required to validate the build and operational quality of the new design before public release. Without this extension, the project cannot transition from "Prototype" to "Product."

2. Dev-Kit Launch (Jan 2026 - February 2026)

We propose a 2 month extension to execute the launch.

2.1 Manufacturing

  • Batch Production: Receive components for assembly in the US and Germany.
  • Assembly: Completion of 12 total units (6 in Germany, 6 in the US).
  • Quality Assurance: Physical inspection and bench testing to ensure consistency across the builds.

2.2 Beta Testing

  • Complete 50 hours of testing in US and Germany
  • Validate quality of build and new components
  • Edge case performance testing
  • Collect hard telemetry data on mission performance to finalize spec sheets.

2.3 Engineering Support

  • Transition to "Release 1.0" that is customer ready
  • Finalize user manuals and assembly guides
  • Establish technical support channels for the first wave of sales

3. Budget Request

  • Labor Costs: $35,000/month
  • Hardware & Manufacturing Costs: $50,000 (one time)
    • Covers the bulk purchase of materials required to build 12 complete drones
  • Total: $120,000

Labor cost are expected to remain the same with a potential reduction in February depending on product support requirement.

4. Deliverables

  • 10 Dev-Kits manufactured and ready for sale/distribution.
  • 2 test drones for ongoing beta testing and R&D.
  • Completed documentation and user manuals.
  • Live support ecosystem established on Discord.
  • Launch report covering technical feedback, sales status, and future roadmap for Quiver.

5. Governance

  • Co-Leads: The project will continue to be led jointly by alperenag and errrks.eth, as confirmed in the previous governance vote.
  • Multisig: Funds will continue to be managed via the existing multisig setup (Project Leads + GBC).

6. Outcome if Vote Passes

Approval of this proposal will trigger the transfer of 120,000 USDC from the Arrow treasury to the Project Quiver multisig wallet to fund operations through February 2026.
