K.I.N.G. March Madness Bracket Contest

Greetings my fellow Kongs,

A quick peek at the calendar reveals that we are in mid-March. That means spring training baseball, shamrock shakes, and March Madness (that's right, NCAA, I used the trademark come at me).

Since things are quiet at the moment during this pull back, I thought it would be fun for us to fill out brackets and have a rooting interest in the NCAA tournament.

For those of you unfamiliar, the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament consists of 64 teams seeded and arranged in a giant bracket. The tournament starts this year on Thursday March 20th. The tournament is single elimination and is used to determine the National Champion.

I am proposing hosting a contest to see who is our best predictor of tournament results. As with most of our contests, prizes will be awarded for the top 3 places and we will draw 3 random participants who did not place to receive a consolation prize. As usual, these funds will be paid out of the incentive wallet.

Since we used sleeper for Fantasy Footbal and many of you already have the app, I am proposing hosting the contest there again. Full disclosure, I have never done a bracket contest on sleeper before so if everyone is more comfortable with another platform like ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, etc. I'm willing to host wherever the group wants.

The year's tournament has extra meaning for me as I purchased tickets to the first two rounds in Lexington Kentucky and am flying my father and brother down with me to watch games on Thursday/Saturday and visit distilleries and drink bourbon on our off days. I put this trip together in honon of my Dad's 70th birthday. So, if the vote passes and we run the contest, I promise many on-site pictures of basketball and bourbon.

Proposed Prize Structure:
1st place - $300
2nd place - $200
3rd place - $100

Consolation drawing 3 x $50

For reference, the incentive wallet currently holds $15,487.68. If the vote passes, after this contest pays out it will hold $14,737.68.
